Trash pick-up is scheduled for every Tuesday and Friday for Muirfield Court and Sawgrass Lane.
Recycling will be picked up every Wednesday. All recycling should be placed loosely in a recycling bin.
There will be no trash pick-up on scheduled Holidays (New Years Day, Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day, Thanksgiving and Christmas Day.
Trash for those days should be consolidated with the next scheduled pick-up.
Disposal stations are closed on Election Day. Therefore, trash collection will be limited to three (3) cans.
GENERAL INFORMATION:
Raymond T. Opdenaker & Sons, Inc. will not be responsible for damage to containers due to freezing temperatures or overloading. Certain plastic cans freeze and shatter. They will not be responsible for articles left near or in trash containers that could be mistaken for trash.
Trash should be placed out on time. For early morning pick-ups, the night before is recommended. Time pick-up will vary depending on lines at the disposal station and whether or not the truck was able to dump the day before.
Please be advised that Opdenaker is now using a one-person trash collection. You must use the correct size container for trash. If you need a container, you can contact Opdenaker at 610-459-3515. Kindly refrain from parking on the street on trash collection days so the truck can pick up the trash cans with the arm of the truck.
Trash containers should be at the curb the night before pickup.
Containers must be placed 4 feet apart.
The container should be placed at the curb with the lid facing the street.
Yard waste should be properly bundled or placed in the trash container.
Service Policies and Regulations:
In order to protect employees, equipment and to conform to county Ordinances, the following rules apply:
1. Broken glass, combustible cans and any sharp objects should be properly MARKED and contained to prevent injury
2. Bags or cans should not exceed fifty (50) pounds when full. Fifty-five (55) Gallon drums should not be used.
3. Bulk trash will not be collected under residential service. Bulk trash is defined as any item, which cannot be cut up into three (3) foot lengths or otherwise broken up or tied.
4. Grass clippings, leaves and bundles of brush will be restricted to no more than five (5) bags per collection. Brush must be securely tied. Christmas trees should be cut in half depending on the size. These items must be at curbside for pick up.
5. Do not load trash container past the top. Cans with sharp edges should not be used. All cans should have sturdy bottoms.
6. Do not overload cans with items such as tree branches, hedge trimmings or large boxes.
In accordance with county ordinances, the following list, while not all inclusive, indicates material which cannot be accepted.
No Radioactive Materials. If you are receiving certain Chemo-therapy or Medical Treatments you may be Radioactive for a Short Duration.
